Forty Tamil Tiger rebels were killed in the north of Sri Lanka

As it has become known, thirty-five Tamil Tiger rebels and six government troops were killed in fights with the governmental army of Sri Lanka in the north of the country.
The fierce operations occurred in district Mannar in Jaffna peninsula, where Sri Lanka soldiers have started operation on approaching to the strengthened of Tamil defense line.
According to military representatives, formations of “tigers” have made an attempt to beat off the territory, occupied by armies, but attacks have been beaten off by all of them. Losses among military men have made six person killed and twenty wounded.
Within last seven days 64 Tamil Tiger rebels have been liquidated. The purpose of operations relies in restoration of their control over areas, at which Tamil Tigers have proclaimed creation the independent state.
When these formations have been superseded from east regions of Sri Lanka, they managed to remain the only jumping-off place of separatists on they island.
Active operations are conducted, despite of the agreement of the contradictory parties. Since 2006 5 thousand people have been killed in Sri Lanka conflicts. The general number of victims of civil war has exceeded 70 thousand people.
 


Turkey will continue operation against PKK in Iraq

The Turkish army has promised to continue operations against the Kurdish Workers Party (PKK) in Iraq.
Turkey has declared that operations will be exclusively directed against PKK and will not touch other groupings and peace population, in case if they will not behave aggressively concerning Turkish soldiers.
On Saturday Turkey has informed, that armed forces have stroked the massed blow with “application of means fire supports” on the group of 50-60 PKK’s insurgents.
The group of insurgents has been found out during prospecting work then “against terrorists’ intensive fighting operation” has been lead. Means have allowed defining, that the group of insurgents has had significant losses after the attack.
Before starting the attack against Kurdish insurgents, the prime minister of country has declared, that the government of Turkey has approved intrusion of armed forces to the territory of northern Iraq for struggle with PKK.
PKK leads the armed struggle for creation of the independent Kurdish state in the southeast of Turkey since 1984.

 

 
 


Terrorist has grasped hostages at Hillary Clinton’s campaign office

In the USA the criminal, who grasped hostages at Hillary Clinton’s campaign office in Rochester in state of New Hampshire, has been arrested.
Initially criminal said that he had an explosive and grasped four hostages. The man has entered into the campaign office at 13:00 on local time and, having unbuttoned the coat, has shown an explosive, attached by an adhesive tape to a breast.
Then he has released two hostages - mother with the child, who have informed on capture. Two hours later one more hostage, accompanied by fighters of special division from a building, was released.
Later the criminal has been surrendered by police authorities. On preliminary data, the terrorist is mentally sick person.
During the moment of capture Hillary Clinton was not at the office.
