USA do not have money for war in Iraq and Afghanistan

US Defense Secretary Robert Gates has addressed to the American congressmen with the requirement to approve additional financing military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan within the nearest days.
Otherwise the head of the Pentagon threatens, that he will have to give the order on dismissal to the middle of February 100 thousand military men and 100 thousand civil employees of US army and in a month of dismissal can concern sea infantrymen.
Gates has told that it is erroneous understanding that Ministry of Defenses can continue to finance military operations for the uncertain period by accounting manipulations. As he said, the Ministry can manage only 3,7 billion dollars that pays expenses of militarians for one week.
Earlier the White House has requested 196 billion dollars for continuation of wars in Iraq and Afghanistan in 2007-2008 financial year, which has started on October, 1st, 2007. However, the democratic opposition in the House of Representatives has voted for allocation of only 50 billion dollars with a condition of the beginning of withdrawal of armies till December 2008.
President Georges Bush has declared that he will put a veto for this bill. In reply to this statements, democrats have let know, that in this case the congress will return to discussion of a question on additional financing operations only in the end of the year, and till this moment the Pentagon should spend for war 471 billion dollars.

 

 

 


Iran has given IAEA instructions on the nuclear weapon

Iran has transferred instructions on uranium recasting in nuclear warheads to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Such information has been represented in IAEA’s official report.
In spite of the fact that it was one of the basic requirements of Agency, such step hardly can remove a pressure around of the Iranian nuclear program as Teheran should execute some more requirements. The assistant to Iranian nuclear organization has transferred instructions to the assistant to chapter in the Vein.
Documents, in which the technology of uranium recasting is described, have been found by IAEA experts in Iran two years ago. Teheran has allowed them to study instructions in the Iranian territory, however, has forbidden taking them out from the country and has refused to give a copy. IAEA and world experts of other organizations approve, that these instructions are necessary for the program of nuclear weapon manufacture.
The Iranian nuclear program became one of key themes at a meeting of the chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel and the president of the USA Georges Bush. USA was quite skeptical about Iran’s sincerity. According to Angela Merkel, she managed to convince the American President that the salvation of the Iranian nuclear problem lays exclusively in the field of diplomacy and the international sanctions.

 


The number of victims of explosion in parliament of Philippines has increased

The number of victims of explosion in the building of parliament of Philippines (in Manila) has increased up to two people.
Right after incidents it has been informed on death of the driver of one of politicians. About ten people have received wounds; two of them are seriously wounded.
Explosion has thundered right after the termination of session of the lower chamber of parliament - the Congress, its epicenter was in a southern wing of a building, in which the Congress is located.
The chief of Manila’s police has told that explosion was deliberate and it was caused by bomb, most likely, attached to one of the motorcycles parked in several meters from a southern wing of the building. The police are continuing investigation.

 

 


Merkel has offered sanctions against Iran

German Chancellor Angela Merkel calls to consider the problem on restriction of trade relations between European Union’s countries and Iran as a component of the international sanctions concerning the nuclear program of Teheran.
“Recently Merkel has told that the decision of the Iranian nuclear problem requires combined efforts of the International Community and including obliges Europe and Germany, in particular, to consider ways of the further restriction of trade with Iran.
Merkel’s applications have been made after the chancellor of Germany has visited ranch of the president of the USA Georges Bush in Texas. As she said, leaders of the USA and Germany send to the consent, that the Iranian nuclear question can be solved by diplomatic way.
Visit of the German Chancellor to the USA is quite significant. Merkel became second of Bush’s key European allies, arrived on a visit to the United States last week. Earlier French President has visited the US President.
It is obvious, that thus Bush wishes to get strategic support of Paris and Berlin in carrying out key for Washington at the international decisions among which acceptance of new international sanctions across Iran remains the most important one.
It is worth of mentioning that the USA and UN Security Council ask the Iran for the termination of the program of enrichment of uranium. Washington considers, that the program is directed on creation of the nuclear weapon, Teheran approves, that it pursues exclusively peace purposes. Russia and China, being constant members of Security Council, do not support idea of toughening of sanctions concerning Iran as the international community has no concrete proofs of that the Islamic Republic develops the nuclear weapon.


Russian armies will leave Georgia till December, 1st

The commander of North Caucasus Military District, General of the Army Alexander Baranov has declared, that the withdrawal of basic staff and an equipment of the Russian armies from territory of Georgia will be completed not till November, 15th, as it has been mentioned before, but till December, 1st.
According to Baranov’s words, all the military men, who served in territory of republic, are placed and equipped in Russia. Speaking about last events in Georgia, he has noted, that in this connection the commandment of North Caucasus Military District does not provide any special actions.
Meanwhile last military echelon with property of the Russian military base N12 deployed in Batumi, has gone to Russia on November, 8th. 12 units of automobile technics and material property have been taken away.
Let’s remind, according to the agreement from May, 30th, 2005, signed in Moscow by chapters the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and Russia, withdrawal of group of the Russian armies in Transcaucasia, which headquarters is located in Tbilisi, should come to the end up to the end 2008. However, because of an aggravation of Georgian-Russian relations Russian Ministry of Defense has made a decision on a prescheduled withdrawal of Tbilisi garrison.
 


Finnish schoolboy, who has killed 8 people, has died in hospital

The young man, who on November, 7th, has shot 8 people at school Jokela High School in Finland, has died in hospital. Such information has been represented by Associated Press.
The 18-year-old pupil of school, whose name is not informed, has opened shooting from a pistol of 22nd caliber then he has tried to be shot. He has shot himself at a head; however, he did not die and has been hospitalized in hospital in extremely grave condition.
The school, where the incident took place, is in 50 km to the north from Helsinki. In general in the school there are 400 pupils. According to eyewitnesses, the young man went on a corridor, opening doors of classes and shooting anywhere. Director of an educational institution was also among victims.
The young man has legally got the weapon, having received license on October, 19th, 2007, and earlier had no problems with the law. Before tragedy he has placed the message on forthcoming actions in the Internet.


Bush: Kurdish insurgents are the enemies of the USA

The president of the USA Georges Bush has named the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (KWP) as terrorist organization. According to the president, the fighting organization of Kurds is the enemy both for Turkey, Iraq, and USA.
Bush offered Erdogan assistance at a level of investigations with the purpose of the prompt termination of Kurds actions in territory Turkey.
The prime minister of Turkey has characterized a meeting with the president of the USA as rather fruitful. Turkish Prime Minister has summed up a meeting as very succesfull.
It has been already the second large diplomatic success of Turkey in struggle against Kurdish radicals for last days. Earlier, on November, 3rd, 2007, at negotiations in Ankara Iraq promised to stop activity of the Kurdish Democratic Party, supporting communications with KWP radicals.
Earlier the Turkish government declared that it is ready to refuse from military operation in Northern Kurdistan in case if this problem will be solved by Iraq government. At the same time last promise of Baghdad to cope with Kurds goes counter with the recognized before impossibility to supervise KWP insurgents, whose bases are basically located in the mountains.
At the same time diplomatic pressure becomes successful. So, on November, 4th, 2007, Kurds have released eight Turkish soldiers, grasped on October, 21st.
Let’s remind, that after the whole series of attacks the parliament of Turkey has accepted the decision on carrying out of special operations in Northern Iraq.

 


Authorities of Iraq have closed headquarters of Kurdistan Workers’ Party

The government of Iraq has suspended work of headquarters of Kurdistan Democratic Solution Party, presumably connected with Kurdistan Workers’ Party.
As Associated Press informs, it has been made under the request of Turkish government, where Kurdish Democratic Party is being considered as a political wing of Turkish Kurds-separatists. Nobody from Kurdistan Workers’ Party members has been arrested.
Today Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki has declared that strict measures against bases of Kurdish insurgents in northern Iraq, down to closing branches of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party have been taken. at conference on safety problems of Iraq, which is being held in Istanbul, Nuri al-Maliki has told that they are seriously working on this question.
Representatives of Turkey have concerned to the application of the Iraq prime-minister with skepticism: official Ankara has warned, that if Kurdistan Workers’ Party’s bases in the north of Iraq will continue to function, and leaders of Kurdish movement will remain free, armed forces of Turkey will start retaliatory expedition against Kurds in territory of Iraq.
Some days ago Turkish armies have killed 15 Kurdish insurgents from Kurdistan Workers’ Party.
USA can provide some stability - on the eve US state Secretary Condoleeza Rice has declared, that the USA, Turkey and Iraq will struggle against Kurdish insurgents, having emphasized, that the main task - is not to worsen the situation.


USA and Turkey have united against Kurdish insurgents

The USA will support Turkey in struggle against Kurdish insurgents, whose bases are located in northern part of Iraq. As Associated Press informs, with such application the US state secretary Condoleeza Rice has acted.
Having mentioned, that besides the USA and Turkey will take part in struggle against Iraq insurgents, Rice has told that they have a general opponent, and they will struggle with it together. Thus the main thing, according to the state secretary of the USA, is not to worsen a situation in region.
It is necessary to note, that before the USA and Iraq tried to operate with a method of belief of Kurdish insurgents. In Iraq, in particular, they required, that extremists stopped attacks on Turkish soldiers or have left territory of the country, having, however, received the negative answer from insurgents.
The Turkish government declared that it is ready to refuse from military operation in Kurdistan in case if this problem will be solved by the Iraq government. However, Baghdad recognized that it is not capable to cope with insurgents, whose bases are located in mountains.
After the whole series of insurgents’ attacks the parliament of the country has made a decision on carrying out of special operations in the Northern Iraq. It is expected, that it is transferred on the beginning of November, when Ankara will coordinate the position with Washington.

Moscow militia warns of possible acts of terrorism and asks them to show the maximal vigilance in places of the big congestion of people and in transport
The head of department of the information and public relations of the Municipal Department of Internal Affairs of Moscow has informed on it on Wednesday.
The representative of the Municipal Department of Internal Affairs has reminded of necessity of performance of the basic safety measures. Having found out a suspicious or explosive subject, it is necessary to phone to police. It is impossible to allow for casual people to touch it or to try neutralizing it.
Making trips by public transport, it is necessary to pay attention to any ownerless subjects, in which there self-made explosives can be. In no event it is impossible to open the found out packages and bags, to touch them. It is necessary to warn people about possible danger. If someone will remember signs of the person who has left a suspicious subject, he should inform police about it.
