Recently Management of perspective researches and development of the US Ministry of Defense, supervising allocation of assignments for defensive projects (it is known, that agency’s budget makes $3,2 billion), has declared about competition on creation of technologies, which would provide the military superiority in sub polar areas.
As the American mass-media resources inform, now the US Congress considers a question on allocation of 8,7 billion dollars for needs of the US coast guard. From them 100 million intend for service of three Arctic ice breakers. Besides, the significant sum should go on construction of two more ice breakers. Observers believe that all this specifies that the USA is intended to increase the presence at Arctic regions.
