Vice-president of Iraq Tarik al Hashimi has called the Arabian regional leaders “not to give of the future of their country in charge of other nations”. Being the leader of Sunnites Islamic party of Iraq, Tarik al Hashimi has declared, that this principle should become the precise position of the Arabian world.
He has made this application at the meeting with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and Arab League secretary general Amr Mussa, which has been held in Cairo.
Iraqi vice-president has not specified, what exact nations he meant. In opinion of experts, behind words of the Iraq vice-president, there can be a concern peripheral political position of Iraqi Sunnites, taken away from the central roles in the state owing to official support of Shiites majority in Iraq by the United States, and also an amplifying influence of Iranian Shiites on political process in Iraq.
The acuteness of opposition between the Shiites and Sunnites in Iraq is obviously demonstrated by the numerous acts of terrorism, which are carried out by the representatives of the contradictory parties against each other. In April, 2007, after the next flash of violence, military command of the USA has even made a decision on erection on suburbs of Baghdad of a wall, which should divide the city on the Shiites and Sunnites’ regions.
