Al Qaeda has captured 9 hostages in Iraq

Terrorist grouping The Islamic State of Iraq - the local division of international terrorist network Al Qaeda- has captured five Iraq military officers and four policemen in Diyala province, north of Baghdad. In the widespread video reference of a terrorist grouping it is spoken, that hostages will be killed if authorities will refuse to release all Sunnite women from the Iraq prisons.
Let’s remind, on the eve the same terrorist grouping has incurred the responsibility for the accomplished on May, 6th, act of terrorism, in which Russian journalist Dmitry Chebotayev was killed. The patrol car of the American armies in which Russian journalist was included was undermined on a land mine in Diyala province. As it has become known, six American soldiers have been also killed.
According to the Committee of protection of journalists (the international nongovernmental organization with headquarters in New York), in view of Chebotayev’s death in Iraq, 101 journalist have been killed from the moment of the beginning of military actions in March 2003.
Present capture of hostages - is not rare for Iraq. Employees of power structures - the Iraq policemen and militaries - quite often become the objects of insurgents’ attacks. So, on May, 5th, 2007, bodies of five Iraq policemen have been found in the city of Beiji, that is in 155 miles from the north of Baghdad. According to medical examination, the death has come in the result of gunshot wounds.
