The so-called “left” Arabian states which are based on the laicized basis, unlike the “right” Islamic states, are the most inconvenient opponents for the USA in the Arabian world.
Since times of the “cold war” the USA rendered feasible support to the Islamic extremist organizations, using them in spheres of influence of the USSR. In particular, it was most brightly shown during campaign of Soviet Union in Afghanistan, where the network of the extremist organizations, which later have joined in mojahed resistance, has started its radical activity.
After the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan, the civil war in the country ended that one of the mojaheds’ groupings - “Taliban” - has grasped the control over mostly territory of Afghanistan, has been again started.
After acts of terrorism on September, 11th the USA in the chapter of a coalition have intruded in Afghanistan in spite of the fact that “Taliban” denied the cooperation with Al-Qaeda - another extremist organization, incurred the responsibility for acts of terrorism, and has even offered to give out Bin Laden and other terrorists’ leaders. But the war proceeded, - the terrorism became only an occasion for intrusion of the USA and the countries-allies into Afghanistan. And if to consider, that Bin Laden (and, probably, other Al-Qaeda’s leaders) was trained in training camps of mojaheds in Pakistan, organized not without the US CIA’s help, a role of Islamic terrorism in the modern world becomes so obvious.
In global sense of Islamic terrorism is a political technology. The purpose is the increase of military power and influence of the USA in global prospect. The myth about the Arabian Islamic terrorism, as to the unique form of resistance is created. It is easier to justify the expansion by struggle against terrorism, than, for example, protection of the economic interests in region, struggle for resources and ways of their delivery, etc. And the tendency to consider the East in spirit of “radicalism” (the preconvinced attitude of Europeans to cultures and traditions of east colonies as to barbarous even more), in modern mass-media, helps to create such myth.
