The Saudi king has advised Ahmadinejad to be careful

King of Saudi Arabia Abdullah has warned the president of Iran Mahmoud Ahmadinejad that he should seriously think about military threat of the USA. The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia (Prince Saud al-Faisal) has told about it in interview to Newsweek magazine.
Abdullah has already met Ahmadinejad on the 4th of March. Then the parties have officially agreed to unite efforts for suppression of radical enmities in the region. However in a lobby of a meeting, al-Faisal has told that the king has concentrated attention on absolutely other things and has advised Iranian President to consider seriously possible consequences of his refusal of stopping the nuclear program of Iran.
In his interview prince Saud al-Faisal has declared that their government has warned Iranian President of the possible consequences of the nuclear program, but Ahmadinejad continues to play with fire. They told him that he should not forget about the threat from the West (the USA) and this threat is quite real and obvious.
Besides the Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs has noticed, King Abdullah has openly accused the President of Iran of kindling violence over Iraq. According to al-Faisal’s words, the Saudi leader has asked “not to interfere with the Arabian business”. The Iranian leader has rejected these charges.
It is worth of mentioning that on March, 24th the UN Security Council has accepted the resolution 1747 demanding from the Iranian government to bring the nuclear program into accord with the IAEA’s requirements and to begin new negotiations within 60 days. Official Teheran refuses to carry out requirements of Security Council, insisting, that its nuclear program has exclusively peace character.

US nuclear attack

The US government has taken final decision on the beginning of war with Iran; the US Congress has supported President’s intention, having removed all restrictions on the beginning of war against Iran. War of the USA against Iran is not inevitable, but it is possible to speak about its beginning only with probability. Such opinion was stated today by Leonid Ivashov, who is the president of Academy of geopolitical problems.
He has not excluded an opportunity, that the USA can use the tactical nuclear weapon in operations against Iran. If the USA or Israel use the nuclear weapon, escalation of application of all those substances that are regarded as the weapon of mass destruction.
It is believed, that the basic purposes for defeat by the American ammunition, including nuclear, in territory of Iran can be up to 350 prime objects, including 128 nuclear objects. The nuclear program of Iran can be stopped by the Americans and their allies by destroying up to 20 Iranian objects and, first of all, laboratories and the enterprises on centrifuges manufacture.
taking into account the fact that the USA are having only four command now; it is assumed, that ground intrusion of US armies on territory of Iran is not reasonable and the Americans will be limited to drawing transient “disinfecting” attack on the major Iranian objects. The Iran’s return strike may be quite asymmetric.

The US Senate has voted for withdrawal of troops from Iraq till March, 31st, 2008

This Thursday the US Senate has approved the budgetary bill providing a stage-by-stage withdrawal of American armed forces troops from Iraq till March, 31st, 2008.
At 51 voice pro and 47 contra the senators have supported the budgetary bill of additional financing charges on war in Iraq and Afghanistan at a rate of $121,6 billion.
The Senate has supported the included into the text of the senatorial bill regulations on that the President should start stage-by-stage re-disposition of US armies from Iraq not later than in 120 days after date of acceptance of the given bill with purpose to carry out the re-disposition of all fighting parts of armies of the USA from Iraq up to March, 31st, 2008.
It was also marked, that US armies should not carry out police functions in civil war and that the current conflict in Iraq requires mainly the political salvation.
The document requires that the President of the USA should operatively change character of mission of armed forces in Iraq.
Last week the requirement on withdrawal of American troops from Iraq has been supported by the House of Representatives of the Congress.
After senatorial voting both versions of the bill, accepted by the House of Representatives and the Senate, are being forwarded to the conciliatory commission for development of the full text, which, then, should be again approved by both chambers.
It is expected, that it will occur not earlier than in the middle of April.
Georges Bush has already for several times declared, that he will put a veto for any bill, including the requirement on withdrawal of American troops from Iraq and the bill ” has no chances to become the law “.
Bush has warned, that America cannot admit the defeat in Iraq and that “imposing” by the congress of date of withdrawal of American armies will lead to “catastrophic consequences” for the USA.

Great Britain has frozen political and economic relations with Iran

British government interrupts all bilateral contacts with Iran, not concerning the release of 15 British seamen who has been kidnapped by the Iranian authorities during the patrolling of the Iraq sea borders.
The British Minister for Foreign Affairs Margaret Beckett has declared this statement in parliament. British Foreign Minister said that anybody should not have doubts concerning that, how much seriously Great Britain concern to these events.
Meanwhile Teheran has declared that in the near future it will release the only-kidnapped woman among the British seamen.
Shortly before this the British Ministry of Defense has promulgated cards and satellite data which, in their opinion, prove, that seamen have been grasped in the Iraq territorial waters, and the distance up to border made 1,7 sea miles. British vice-admiral Charles Style says, that seamen “have got in an ambush” and their capture was “unjustified and erroneous”.
15 seamen from a frigate “Cornwall” have been detained by the Iranian militaries on Friday, when British militaries came back on rubber boats to the ship after the inspection of the Iraq vessel, lead by them in Persian Gulf.
In reply to the Britain’s publication the embassy of Iran in London has declared data, which prove that during detention the British seamen have entered into the Iranian waters on 500 meters distance.
Teheran has objected any charges and said they are assured, that the Iranian and British governments are capable to resolve this question, concerning safety, by means of the close communications and cooperation.
In the meantime London tries to achieve the release of seamen by diplomatic methods. However, while it did not manage even to organize a meeting with kidnapped people and to obtain official data on their exact site.
According to BBC data, seamen are on the basis of the Guards of Islamic revolution in Teheran and they are being humanely treated.
The representatives of the British government say that they have carried on “cautious” negotiations with Iran. However, under the application of the Prime-Minister’s official representative, if such tactics does not bring any positive results, London will take more rigid measures.

The USA have started large military studies at Iranian coastline

The US Navies are holding maneuvers in Persian Gulf, which are the largest demonstration of force of the Pentagon since the American intervention into Iraq in 2003.
Two aircraft carriers, two fighting groups of the ships of the basic class are being engaged into the military maneuvers and more than hundred of the military planes are fulfilling variants of operations near to coast of Iran.
As Associated Press informs, American military studies are being taken at the same time with French Naval Forces. However the French maneuvers are not connected with American operation.
Teheran is also engaged in demonstration of its military force: Iranian government has held greater military doctrines for several times, the largest of which has been held in the end of February 2007. Then elite parts of the Iranian army - the “Guards of Islamic revolution ” - have lead ground maneuvers in 16 of 30 provinces of Iran. 20 military divisions have been involved into military studies by an aggregate number up to 60 thousand of militaries.
Similar indicative maneuvers from both parties are directly connected with Iranian present situation: the information that Washington is preparing for military operation in Iran is being successively announced in mass-media. The “military gossips” are being “warmed up” by increase of American contingent in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Notwithstanding that the White House denies these messages, many analysts consider one more war in Persian Gulf as quite probable way of American foreign policy.

The United States are not ready for nuclear war

The specialists of protection against mass destruction center (the University of Georgia) have come to conclusion, that the USA is not ready to nuclear attack. The reason is the “bottlenecks” of hospital system.
This is one of the most detailed unclassified researches. The authors recognized that the probability of nuclear attack to the USA is constantly increasing. The center has assumed, that the nuclear charge can be blown up in the center of one of large American cities (the largest American cities -New York, Chicago, Atlanta and Washington -were used the so-called “guinea pigs”). Here there were also two variants - in the first one - the capacity of a charge “made” 20 kilotons, in the second one - 550 kilotons (for comparison: in 1945 to Hiroshima the bomb by capacity 12 kilotons, to Nagasaki - 20 kilotons) have been dumped.
The conclusions of the final research are the following. As Washington ProFile writes in case of explosion of the “small” (20 kilotons) charge, a half of population of the central part of the city will be humbled, and the majority of people will be killed by fragments of the destroyed buildings (houses above ten floors will fail at all). People, who would manage to survive at explosion, will receive fatal dozes of radiation. “Big” (550 kilotons) charge will cause even greater destructions - sharp rise in temperature in the zone of explosion will be especially dangerous. Everything will be practically burnt down on 6,3 km epicenter distance. The similar charge, which would be blown up in the center of New York, would kill more than 5 million people.
Nuclear explosion will destroy or will make impossible the use of local hospitals. As a result the majority of victims couldn’t receive medical aid in time. For example, if in Atlanta the “big” charge, there would be more than 300 thousand burnt people in the city, who would die without corresponding and urgent treatment. However the American hospitals don’t have enough places and 80-90 % hospital-rooms are constantly occupied. Moreover, the patients, suffering heavy burns, would be delivered to the hospitals very seldom owing to what the personnel would not be able to help them quickly and would not have necessary medicines, the equipment and etc.
Hence, even if the hospital would escape at explosion, it would not have an opportunity to accept all victims and, the worst of all is that not would not be able to save all dying people. As the result, ascertains research, up to 90 % of burnt people would die. In resechers’ opinion, if the system of the American hospitals functioning will be changed, the quantity of deaths could be considerably reduced, having led a death rate up to 20-30 %.
It is necessary to note, that 20 kilotons charges in Northern Korea have been already possessed and, theoretically, the terrorists (as this technology is already more 60 years old and all necessary information on the “know-how” has been opened for a long time) can create them. As MIGnews.com. marks much more powerful nuclear charges capacity can be theoretically stolen by terrorists from the Soviet arsenals.

UN Security Council: no war with Iran

The UN Security Council’s new resolution does not foresee an opportunity of a military way out from the Iranian “nuclear problem”.  According to the UNO’s resolution such decision is based on 4st1 item of the UNO’s 7th Charter, which does not suppose any military intervention.
On March, 24th, 2007, the UN Security Council has unanimously accepted the new resolution across Iran. Except for the listed measures the new resolution also means blocking of 28 people and the organizations banking current accounts. Such financial measures concern only the participants of development of the Iranian nuclear program, 30% of which are connected with Iranian army. Thus the Security Council has not only forbidden the export of arms from Iran, but it has also called other states “to show extra care and restraint” by deliveries of weapon to Iran.
The Resolution forbids the states and the international financial organizations to sign contracts with Teheran on granting the economic help and credits on favorable terms. The exception is made for cases of allocation of these means for humanitarian programs.
In case of performance by Iran of all UNO’s requirements, the sanctions will be removed, however, if Teheran again ignores Security Council’s requirements, the United Nations will take new measures.
Members of “six” (UN Security Council’s constant members and Germany) have approved a package of new anti-Iranian sanctions last week. After that the project of the document has been transferred for studying to representatives of 10 non-permanent members of Security Council. In the beginning of current week the republic of South Africa, Qatar and Indonesia have presented the remarks which have been considered by constant UNO’s members.
The reaction of Iran to the resolution has appeared predicted. The Iranian Foreign Affairs Minister of Iran, making comments on the acceptance of the new resolution, has declared that the international pressure and intimidation will not change Teheran’s policy in the field of nuclear technologies. Thus he has noted that Iran is not interested in the conflict and does not apply for something, except for respect of the inalienable laws.

The US Congress has voted for the withdrawal of American troops from Iraq

Congressmen have voted for the withdrawal of the American troops till August, 31st, 2008 or even earlier - up to the end of December, 2007 in case the Iraq government will not carry out of its obligations.
Before the beginning of calculation of voices the speaker of House of Representatives has declared that this voting was the voting by the termination of war in Iraq. It was also mentioned that war in Iraq is “a grotesque mistake”.
The bill, approved by the chamber, requires also that the government of Iraq has approved the law, accessing opening of Iraq oil deposits to the foreign companies.
Earlier, the US President Georges Bush has declared, that he will put a veto for the similar decision as he considers the withdrawal of American troops as a gross mistake.

The insurgents have struck a rocket shell near to a place of carrying out of press conference of the UN General Secretary Ban Ki-moon in Iraq. As it has become known, nobody has suffered in result of this incident.
The attack has occurred during Ban Ki-moon’s and Iraq Prime Minister’s conference for journalists near the Prime-Minister’s office in the so-called “green zone”. As the Associated Press, referring to present on a place of events of own correspondent, informs, Ban Ki-moon has had time to be covered behind a tribune.
The Iraqi Prime minister has declared, that “nothing terrible has happened”, and press conference has been again proceeded in some minutes.
As it was formed later, a rocket shell in 1 meter diameter and 50 meters from a building, where the conference has been held, has occurred.
What really warns is that the building of the American embassy and a number of offices of the Iraq government are also settled down near to a place of incident.
It is worth of mentioning that Ban Ki-moon is now making his second large foreign trip as the Secretary General. The United Nations chief has chosen the Near East, because, as he said, “the situation with safety in this region is one of the most important for today of the international questions “.
In the end of March 2007, Ban Ki-moon is to visit Israel and the Palestinian territories with the purpose of affording the renewal of the Palestine-Israeli peace process.
Meanwhile today it was not the first incident, connected with an attack on employees of the United Nations Organization. Earlier, the four armed Palestinians in masks have grasped the United Nations’ car in Gaza. The driver has not suffered.

India has rejected form USA’s offer to unite their forces in struggle against terrorism

India has refused from the USA’s offer on carrying out of joint secret operations against insurgents of Lashkar-e-Taiba’s (LeT) terrorist grouping, operating in state of Jammu and Kashmir. The refusal has followed in spite of the fact that actions of this organization create the most serious threat to the safety of India.
As it has been published in today’s “Times of India” issue, Indian special services sources explain this decision by reasons of national safety and negative experience from contacts with the American colleagues-professionals.
It has also been emphasized, that refusal of interaction with the prospecting US organizations is caused by fears of probable attempts of Washington to rehire employees of the Indian special services and to make them flight to America. Similar precedents have already taken place in the recent past.
As “Times of India” quote, India and the USA are now far from carrying out of joint operations including penetration into terrorist groupings.
As the Indian newspaper writes, LeT carries out functions of Al-Qaeda’s “representative” in India. Indian and American special services approve that its insurgents are involved in last, to the bloodiest, acts of terrorism in the Indian Territory.
LeT is an extremist grouping and it is considered as the militarized wing of the Pakistan fundamentalist radical organizations.
LeT was established in 1980; however it started its harmful activity in India since 1993. Pakistan experts quote that in the end of 90th, the group was one of the most influential among militarized organizations.
The grouping proclaims the uniting of Moslems all over the world. The majority of its members have experience of operations in Afghanistan.
