The verdict on case about acts of terrorism in the Moscow underground will be announced on February, 2nd
The Moscow City Court has appointed on February, 2nd the announcement of a verdict on the case about acts of terrorism in the Moscow underground in 2004. As it is reported by the correspondent of RIA News, a hearing on this case is being held in the closed mode. Last Tuesday the defendants made their last speech and then the court has left in a consultative room for the final adjudgment.
The defendants taken under the case which is obeyed by the Moscow City Court are Maxim Panarin, Tambij Hubiev, and also Murat Shavaev.
During the debate of the parties the public prosecutor has demanded to sentence to life imprisonment participants of acts of terrorism. The representative of Victims lawyer Igor Trunov has completely supported the party of charge. He asked the Court to satisfy 12 claims from victims for a total sum of 36 million 200 thousand roubles.
According to the investigation, Panarin, Hubiev and also Murat Shavaev are involved in the explosion at the station of the underground “Riga “. Besides Hubiev and Shavaev have brought electrodetonators from Nalchik to Moscow and the explosives of which Hubiev has made a bomb for undermining the car of an electric train on the platform “Avtozavodskaya-Paveletskaya” , - as it was mentioned in the message of the State Office of Public Prosecutor. The defendants are also incriminated to the organization of the whole series of acts of terrorism at stations of public transport in Krasnodar and Voronezh.
It is worth of mentioning that because of the explosions on February, 6th, 2004 in the car of an electric train on the platform “Avtozavodskaya-Paveletskaya” and on August, 31st, 2004 at the station of the underground “Riga” 49 persons died and more than 300 persons were injured.
