The White House toughens the policy concerning Iran

The president of the USA Georges Bush warns Iran that the attempts of Teheran to interfere with internal affairs of Iraq will entail reciprocal actions from the USA. This caution has followed after the Iranian ambassador in Baghdad has declared that Teheran is measured to render the Iraq authorities the military and economic help.

The White House for many times accused Iran of support of terrorism and in weapon deliveries to insurgents in Iraq who used it for attacks on Americans and their allies. In the interview to National public radio of the USA Georges Bush, in particular, has noted that if Iran wished to cease to play a destructive role in Iraq and wished to play a constructive role, the USA would warmly welcome such efforts. Unfortunately, no changes have occurred till now. The representative of the White House has repeated previous claims of the USA to Iran’s actions in others regions. The contest of these claims is that Iran also tries to prevent democratic processes in Afghanistan and Lebanon.

The US vice-president Richard Cheney has also mentioned the Iranian theme. In his interview to the Newsweek journal Cheney has declared, that the Near-Eastern countries are interested in the American military presence in the region as a counterbalance to the growing Iranian expansion. According to his words, the arrival of the aircraft-carrier Stennis into the Persian Gulf (thus, now there are two American aircraft groups in the northern part of the Arabian Sea) submits to Teheran a signal, that the USA takes the Iranian threat very seriously.

Despite of more resolute statement and actions of the White House concerning Iran, the vice-president has emphasized, that America is still making attempts to stop nuclear aspirations of Iran by diplomatic means of the United Nations.

Will Palestinians reconcile in Mecca?

The conflict of Fatah and Hamas Palestinian groupings has reached Mecca. In sacred for Moslems city negotiations between leaders of movements will be passed in the nearest future. The king of Saudi Arabia, who has named an event in Palestine as a shame, will be the intermediary. Meanwhile, the last night became the bloodiest in the history of collisions in Gaza.
Gaza is literally paralyzed. The city market is closed; shops and offices do not work. Children do not go schools, and the Islamic university has cancelled spring examinations. People are afraid to leave on street in order not to be killed and abducted. Even the brigade general, who is ordering “division 17″, was among stolen peopleво. He has been stolen on the eve in the evening, and was released only after the midnight. The brigade general is the most significant person among the stolen Fatah’s functionaries, but he is not the only one. On the eve the insurgents of the “brigades of al-Aksa martyrs” have grasped in hostages 10 employees of local city administration. Only two persons are released till now.
For the last day in Gaza 6 persons are killed and nearby 20 have received wounds. In total from the last Friday - from the beginning of new intestine war in the Palestinian territory - 28 persons were lost, 80 have received wounds. The worst thing is that absolutely casual, innocent people and even children are among killed and wounded people.
The prime minister of Palestinian autonomy has addressed to Palestinians with the offer to stop violence and to deduce the armed people from streets of Gaza.
The prime minister has declared that the government would discuss all the events at the session. he has also said that the government would study all the parties and take necessary measures to put an end to the heavy crisis and sad events.  The prime minister called the President of the autonomy Mahmoud Abbas to make the urgent decision to take all armed people and all blockhouses from the streets.
It is likely that all decisions on an armistice and renewal of negotiations between Fatah and Hamas will be accepted now in the sacred for all Moslems city Mecca. Anyway, the king of Saudi Arabia has acted with such initiative. He has offered leaders of Hamas and Fatah to arrive in Mecca and to sit down for a negotiating table and to settle disagreements, to stop bloodshed in Palestine. This initiative was apprehended by heads Hamas with gratitude. Anyway, the message from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Palestine, that they with gratitude and attention have accepted the initiative of the Saudi king has been received. Thus leaders of the Fatah have not made of the final decision till now.

The Committee of the US Senate on foreign affairs by the majority of voices has approved the resolution condemning tactics of Georges Bush in Iraq, and rejected the President’s offer on increasing number of a military contingent in Iraq.

The document was approved by 12 members of the Committee and 21, 9 have voted against it. It is interesting that among the “pro expressed were not only the representatives of democratic fraction, but also one republican. He also said that it was a high time to abstain from the next mistake and refuse from sending 22 thousand American soldiers to the meat grinder.

The resolution has a recommendatory character. Now Georges Bush’s plan concerning Iraq will be directed to the Senate’s consideration.

The resolution opposes Bush’s intentions to direct to Iraq in addition 21500 soldiers for maintenance of safety and the termination of intercommoned collisions.

In the beginning of this month the resolution has been offered by three influential members of the Senate who have called for the prompt transfer of powers on a safety in Iraq to the Iraq government.
