Russian armies will leave Georgia till December, 1st
The commander of North Caucasus Military District, General of the Army Alexander Baranov has declared, that the withdrawal of basic staff and an equipment of the Russian armies from territory of Georgia will be completed not till November, 15th, as it has been mentioned before, but till December, 1st.
According to Baranov’s words, all the military men, who served in territory of republic, are placed and equipped in Russia. Speaking about last events in Georgia, he has noted, that in this connection the commandment of North Caucasus Military District does not provide any special actions.
Meanwhile last military echelon with property of the Russian military base N12 deployed in Batumi, has gone to Russia on November, 8th. 12 units of automobile technics and material property have been taken away.
Let’s remind, according to the agreement from May, 30th, 2005, signed in Moscow by chapters the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and Russia, withdrawal of group of the Russian armies in Transcaucasia, which headquarters is located in Tbilisi, should come to the end up to the end 2008. However, because of an aggravation of Georgian-Russian relations Russian Ministry of Defense has made a decision on a prescheduled withdrawal of Tbilisi garrison.
