Turkey repeatedly threatened with application of force to members of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), which use Northern Iraq as jumping-off place for an attack on the objects, located on the Turkish territory.
On October, 17th 2007, Turkish parliament has approved inquiry of the government of the country about intrusion into Iraq for struggle against Kurdish insurgents. In reply to it PKK’s members have attacked Turkish military men at border with Iraq. 13 soldiers were killed and 11 received wounds. The same day the minibus has been blown up. One person was lost, eight have received wounds.
Being afraid of the beginning of the next operations in Iraq, the chapters of Egypt and Jordan have called Ankara to stop military operations.
