As it has become known, the Danish special services have arrested eight Islamic extremists and these were the natives of Afghanistan, Pakistan, Somalia and Turkey. This detail was informed today at press conference by the representative of the Danish special services. As it has been said, during the scale police operation, lead in 11 areas in Copenhagen and its vicinities, police have managed to arrest eight (connected with Al-Qaeda) Islamites in the age of 19-28 years old.
They are suspected in preparation of act of terrorism with use of explosives. Six citizens of Denmark, and also two foreigners, who have received residence permit in the country, are among the arrested people. The representatives of Danish police have told that they proud they managed to prevent act of terrorism and it is obvious that the activity of arrested people is not connected with the Danish presence at Iraq (in structure of multinational forces).
