EADS is to work for militaries
European space concern European Aeronautics Defence and Space Co. (EADS) is measured to increase a share of services made for military-industrial sector in the general activity of the company in order “to balance a civil and defensive component of concern”.
Such application has been made by Louis Gallois, French co-chief executive of EADS and Airbus chief executive.
The share of civil production in general EADS’ manufacture made about has made 75 % till now mainly due to manufacture of civil air liners by affiliated Airbus’ division.
According to Louis Gallois, the company considers various opportunities of expansion of a military component, including variants, due to which EADS can become the operator of space satellites or the supplier of aviation fuel. Merges of other companies working in military-industrial sector are not also excluded. Thus new EADS’ chapter has declared that the concern should avoid “political influences” in new structure of board for further successful plans’ realization.
Let’s remind, that on July, 16th, 2007, it has been declared about personnel rearrangements in EADS’ management.
These changes in EADS mean, that the concern passes under the control of the French party, whereas Germany will supervise Airbus, being EADS’ division. Thus, EADS has refused from management structure that has repeatedly caused criticism whether the French and German parties supervised company effectively.
