The US Congress House of Representatives has approved the bill, according to which financing of war in Iraq and Afghanistan will be conducted on a bi-monthly basis. The bill was supported by 221 congressman; 205 have voted contra.
Pentagon will be given $42,8 billion for financing of military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, but only for the period till August, 1st, 2007.
After that the second voting on the next assignments at a rate of $52,8 billion should take place in the US Congress, which allocation (for the period till September, 30th, 2007- that is the end of this fiscal year) will depend on a situation in Iraq and successes of the American militarians.
Now the bill is being forwarded for the US Senate’s consideration. Even before the voting George Bush has declared, that such fractional financing was a “bad idea”, having promised to impose veto on the bill.
